## FFmpeg core distribution

The shipped core is a **GPL-enabled build**, including x264 and x265. Inspection
of the actual npm Wasm finds `--enable-gpl` and `--disable-pthreads`, together
with the library switches recorded in the [build index](licenses/SOURCE-AND-BUILD.md).
Using only stream-copy operations, loading it on demand, or executing it in a
visitor's browser does not remove the license and source-distribution conditions.

The unmodified upstream ESM core is distributed as `ffmpeg-core.js` and two
byte-exact Wasm parts. Concatenating the parts reproduces the original Wasm.
Its package version, npm archive integrity, binary hashes, source release,
build scripts and dependency source archives are documented in
[SOURCE-AND-BUILD.md](licenses/SOURCE-AND-BUILD.md) and
[source-manifest.json](licenses/source-manifest.json). Recipients can obtain
the upstream source and build material from the download links in that index.
